Did you know that installing a new Line Set does not guarantee that the Paraglider will be flying perfectly and can be dangerous? When fitting a new set of lines a trim check should be made.
This happens for several reasons and here, we explain them to you:
1- Depending on the model of the glider, there are parts of the risers that are made of Dyneema, a material that shrinks a lot, so the riser, not being in the correct length, affects the profile of the flight even if newlines are placed.
2- Every new glider is measured before leaving the factory to make sure that the lengths of the lines were perfect, but when the new set of lines is purchased separately, that does not happen, the customer installs it and flies the Paraglider without making sure they were installed correctly or if they were badly manufactured. Manufactured lines with incorrect lengths are more common than you might think.
3- The new set of lines may be mislabeled, so that the person who does the installation may unintentionally make a mistake and not realize it. Poorly labeled and installed lines are more common than you think.
4- It has been reported fatal accidents in consequence of a wrongly installation of the lines.
It is for these reasons that the change of the new Line Set should NOT be carried out by people without the necessary tools and knowledge for said operation, since there are many possibilities that the installation will not be correct.
At ZaratParagliders we take care of replacing the entire set of lines and a Trim service is performed to ensure that the installation is perfect and the equipment flies like new.
Periodically check your Paraglider, remember that your safety is the number one priority.
All our services include a maintenance certificate that is delivered when the equipment is returned to the customer, where you can see the information on the service performed, observations, and advice if necessary.
With this certificate, the resale value of the equipment also increases because the Client will sell the Paraglider in optimal condition.
